My iPhone Is Constantly Stuck on the Apple Logo – Is It Doomed?

Powering on your phone should not be anxiety-inducing but if you have ever had your phone get stuck on the Apple logo, you may be nervous every time you see your phone restart or turn on. If this has happened to you, you may be wondering what is causing the issue. After all, you take care of your phone and all you wanted to do was restart it. Sometimes, your phone may just be slow to boot up and with a little waiting, the phone will get past the logo, but if it won’t, you may need to have the phone looked at. Below, we will discuss some of the reasons why your phone may be stuck on the logo and what you can do about it.  Corrupted Software  Have you recently installed something on your phone? Have you recently tried to update your phone? If so, it is possible that you have a corrupted file in your phone somewhere. When an update goes wrong or a file you installed is bad, it can cause issues with your phone.  To try and fix this issue, follow these steps:
  1. Connect your phone to your computer and open up iTunes on your computer
  2. Once iTunes has opened, you will see a message that states there is an error, and you need to restore or update your device
  3. Click update
  4. If you find the update does not work, you may need to restore the device
Overloaded Storage  Have you ever received a warning on your phone that your storage is too low? If so, this is likely what the problem is. Your phone requires a certain amount of space to be able to power on and without that space, it will get stuck on the Apple logo. If you have too many apps running, too many apps installed, or you simply have tons of pictures and videos, storage can become limited.  If you are struggling with low or no storage, try this:
  1. Perform a forced restart on your phone (it is possible you may need to do this a couple of times)
  2. If the restart does not work, you will need to reset the device
Logic Board Issues  The logic board is responsible for the functions your phone performs and when your phone is not moving past the Apple logo, it could be an issue with the motherboard. The components and connections on this little circuit board can become disrupted or separated and cause issues.  Logic boards can become damaged when your phone drops or has liquid spilled on it. In addition, short circuits can happen. If you are able to see your logic board, take a look and see if there is any type of physical damage to it. For example, is the board warped?  Some of the technical issues you may experience with your logic board include the device not recognizing the battery, the phone struggling to turn on, the dot projector malfunctioning, or the face ID sensor experiencing issues.  If you notice serious flaws with the board it is important that you have it checked out by an expert. If your board can be repaired, an expert in these types of repairs is the best to handle it.  iPhone Repairs Offered in NYC  When the logic board in your phone has been compromised, it needs to be inspected.
