Restarting your device is usually all that is needed to fix most issues that pop up. Restarting your phone can be done in a matter of seconds and may be the only thing you need to do.  To restart the phone, simply hold down the power button until you are presented with options. When you see the options pop up on the screen, tap restart. Allow the phone to restart and then attempt to plug it into the charger again and see if this solved the problem.  Try a New Outlet  If you have noticed that your Pixel will not charge but you have not noticed this problem previously, it may be something as simple as the outlet is not working right. You should move your power adaptor to a new outlet completely and attempt to charge your phone from there. If it works, then you have a faulty outlet.  Test the Cable  If charging issues continue to persist, inspect your charging cable to determine if there has been any damage to it. For example, look for any tears or damage to the cable itself and look to see if there are any exposed wires. Once you have done this, make sure that the cable is firmly inserted into the device.  Still no luck? Take the cable and charger and test them on another device to see if they work. If they charge that device, then the issue is with your phone.  Inspect the Charging Port  You will find that dirt, dust, and debris collect within the charging port of your phone over time and when too much buildup happens, it gets in the way and blocks a connection between the pins and the charger. If you notice debris or dust in your charging port, simply clean it out carefully and then attempt to charge your phone once again.  Remove Accessories from Your Device  Still having problems? Remove any accessories that you have attached to your device including cases, battery packs, and covers. While not common, it is possible that these could be blocking your phone from receiving a charge.  Check Your Battery Charge  Now that you have tried all the above and are still having issues, it is time to look at the battery itself to see if that is the problem. Connect your phone to a charger and wait until the battery icon appears on your home screen. Restart the phone and allow it to charge completely.  Bring Your Pixel In for Repairs  When none of the solutions above work, bring your phone into our service center to receive timely and affordable Google phone repairs in NYC.
